The new permanent EKO Training Center was visited on Friday, January 20, 2012, by Mr. G. Kostopoulos, CEO of the HELLENIC PETROLEUM Group, Mr. G. Psychogios, CEO of EKO, and Company’s executives.
There, they had the opportunity to closely follow the training process of the Company’s partners, who engage in the EKO Kalypso petrol stations.
Believing that excellent customer service starts with the training of its people, EKO created a model Training Centre at the Kifissia gas station, where the Company’s partners are trained under real conditions, under the guidance of experienced and qualified trainers. In this way, they gain a competitive advantage, since they are not only able to offer consumers the best products on the market, but primarily, unbeatable quality in comprehensive services through highly trained people.
The current program, which has been attended by 200 of the Company’s partners up to now includes an eight-hour seminar at the Center’s premises and then the instructors visit the trainees at their workplaces where they observe and guide them to ensure them that theory goes into practice.
When the visit was over, Mr. Kostopoulos stated, "The development of our people through training is a core value of the Hellenic Petroleum Group, which is put into action. In 2011, Group employees participated in 77,000 hours of training. With the creation of the new Training Centre, EKO goes one step further and trains it partners as it considers that they too are members of its huge family".
Mr. Psychogios said, "EKO’s goal was and is to provide the Greek consumer with high quality products and services. We firmly believe that, through the systematic upgrading of our people’s knowledge and skills, employees and partners, acquire the necessary skills to meet our consumer demands. I hope that 2012 brings health, prosperity and strength to all so that we are able to face these difficult times!"
